I could say I\’m missing them, and I am.
Today is Wednesday and in the last 7 days I\’ve been in Arizona, New York state, NYC, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. Average temps below freezing; I\’ve been dodging snow and ice storms pretty well. The sun in Phoenix was hot, but I wanted to get home too.
This picture was in October at the Botanical Gardens before we left NYC, an unusually warm day it was and they ran through the vast, grassy open spaces. My husband found the image on his phone this weekend–I didn\’t remember seeing it before. I love that it\’s calm and richly colored and we look content to be sitting right there. We took it with the camera timer, my husband\’s phone propped on a log.
These are the people I work for, to be better for, to celebrate with. It starts and ends with their faces and the few nights I was home this week, I held their hands going to sleep and knew that I was the luckiest person in the world.
With all that has happened in MKMME so far, I am absolutely certain the rest will unfold too. Could not be more hopeful. We made it this far!
Haanel part 19, #10: \”If we stand in any large city and let the eye rest on the innumerable large and magnificent buildings…we may remember that not one of them was there just over a century ago…\”
The indoor and outdoor spaces of new our property are awesome to me. I can\’t believe how many small decisions went into each building, window, choice of nail. Lists made, trips to the store and back and back again. It\’s humbling, what we have inherited.
These are the out buildings, the house is to the left out of the frame. What we make of this is our choice now, but we arrived and that\’s a beautiful thing.
Namaste!
