I am focusing on COURAGE this week for our 4th week of the Franklin Makeover.
I love how this is showing up. I see it in my kids walking in to visit a new school classroom; in the women testifying this week in court for atrocities they have endured; in my husband facing his new world of barns and shops with gusto; and in myself for picking up the phone to make a call to a school which is the path of least resistance in many ways, to say we are looking at an alternative school for the kids instead. My heart was pounding but I did it, and as Claes reminded me on the Tribe Call yesterday, our life is directed by our choices, not the other way around.
I am confirmed. We closed one half of the real estate deal; still need to close the NYC coop, but we now do own the property upstate that has been our dream! My mastermind partner who I have known since 5th grade and who is not in the MKMME this round, counseled me yesterday on this school decision, quoting Earl Nightingale which I had shared with her: \”The opposite of courage is not cowardice….it is conformity.\”.
She did not know that my word was courage this week, but there it was again, confirming for me that we are being supported by the universe on our path.
I wrote my new index cards this week about what I\’m pretending not to know. Mark\’s voice was echoing around the trees on our property, across the snow, on Sunday evening, as I walked out to meet Scott and the kids who were talking a walk down into the \”back 40\”. Mark was talking about forging your own path on the Hero\’s Journey and to keep going, and laid out the new index card drill.
Monday morning, I knew what to write on those two new cards: I\’m pretending not to know that I have all that I need inside of me to make my dreams a reality.

Namaste!
What an absolutely beautiful post. My word this week was also courage. Thank you for sharing =)
Thank you Gena!
