I loved the reveal of the 4 small steps this week to create persistence–we are already doing it!! I\’m doubling down on all of the weekly habits; I so happy to have the framework to come back to, especially as our move takes shape!
Great thing #1: After applying in March, I finally received my Women-Owned Business status from NYC as of November 2017 and it\’s good for 5 years! This allows me more opportunities for getting contracts and being eligible for procurements from the City.
Great thing #2: Because of #1, I am on a distribution list. I received a bid request last week and submitted it on Monday. With my husband\’s contact through work, we put in the quote; this could be a great new door opening, a \”method\” which I didn\’t know existed before.
Great thing #3: Though on my mental diet, I started to feel overwhelmed with the move ahead, but I recentered myself and called in the professionals. Monday afternoon we got a quote from a family company we know who can pack and move us upstate any time the week of the 18th. Now I feel unstoppable! Another pathway opens.
Great thing #4: This one could be considered not so great, but I lost my voice on Saturday due to cold/cough situation. It\’s now Wednesday and I\’m still recovering, but I have to say that not being able to talk really helped with not giving opinions! I was able to be an observer at a school potluck on Sunday when I\’m sure I would have otherwise been talking and missing noticing the diverse circles of people, quiet conversations with moms, a dad holding his sleeping daughter, someone\’s beautiful Arabic words floating in the air.
Feeling very blessed, more each day, that I can share this Master Key experience with my family and my close friends.
And I cannot wait to see our Christmas tree at the new house!
Up and onward for evermore!
