We had an interesting car conversation last night about the meaning of \”up a storm\”. We were heading to dinner after an appointment, and I mentioned that our kitty who had been sick was now \”eating up a storm!\”
What does that mean, the kids asked. We speculated on the meaning of the phrase which I always love exploring with colloquialisms, assuming in this case it was simple, related to winds actually whipping up a storm.
Looking today I see a nice reference for MKE in that it is: To do something with vigor and enthusiasm.
Wa-lah! The MKE goal, in all we do.
