I forgot how much I loved August!
Since we moved to the property up here in January, each month and season has been more palpable because we are so much more in the elements–shoveling snow, cutting the grass, planting the garden, swimming in the pool. Each activity requires hands-on work and being outside. I like that the kids see us doing so much more than when we were in the city and hopefully these lessons translate into lifelong memories of our happy family.
But August–maybe because this one has been so rainy, it feels different, in the best way. I can walk outside in the morning and it\’s been usually the same temperature outside as it is inside. The peaceful way in which the days flow into the night with such little traffic and just the peepers putting us to sleep, it\’s been magical.
I remember liking the snow of February too and the time it allows to cocoon. But as with May, June and July, I\’m finding the joy of each day, each month, each season.
Ever grateful for MKE, my sit and the daily activities. I find my DMP coming true– jumping and doing cartwheels on the new property, garden veggies on the stove, one hour of exercise per day…it\’s amazing and I can\’t wait for the rest to happen too.
Namaste, upward evermore!
