It\’s birthday time now for my kids and husband, everyone is turning 6, 41, 8 and 5 this month and next. It\’s beyond measure to be in the moment and watch my Clare\’s eyes as she slips on her new roller skates (blue/pink with silver wings!). I can\’t remember my 6th birthday but it\’s such a pure joy to see it through her, a blond version of me.
A big part of my DMP is moving to a place where my husband and I could be more of who we are, where the kids could teach us and us them. That\’s what happened in January when we bought our own 72 acres in the Upper Delaware Scenic Area. What a joy is the absolute quiet at night, a starry maze of sky web and daytime beauty. It\’s so much work and I\’m grateful as often as I think of it that we made it.
I have realized that in moving and through MKE, you face yourself. In every blog and every box, packing and unpacking. I found decades of boxes of memories this last week, as we process through boxes which have been in my parent\’s attic since we left for Portland in 2000. I am such a collector and know now I need to clear old stuff out so I can make way for the new. I burned all of my college and grad school notebooks last week. The sky was clear and just as we set flame, then a hail storm rolled in! The kids were ducking the yard covering themselves from the small pelting of the hail stones.
I\’m a saver and cataloger but there has to be a limit. Here\’s my Crayola marker box from middle school–we picked out the colors that worked and threw out the rest. (\”Fayo\” has been a life-long nickname because of my maiden name \”Fayocavitz\”). Kids are leading the way with continual, spot on insights. Can\’t even keep track.
I don\’t want to save so much anymore. I want to be ready for what is coming.
I had a phone call Thursday, 11/1 which confirmed everything. It was also 11/1 two years ago that a big shift happened. This time, an influential person asked me for a proposal to manifest my dharma and I\’m sending back the details tomorrow.
We are our future selves now, not waiting, it\’s now.
Coming up with my story and telling it in variation to everyone is the way of connection and friendship and also business, personal and spiritual growth.
Namaste!
