It\’s been 9 months, but I got socks out of a dresser drawer yesterday morning. My husband picked up beautiful, vintage, family heritage set of dressers for us this week from his Aunt Dorothy.
I can\’t express how wonderful this feels. Both to be able to find socks easily and not search through a large black bag at the base of my closet. But also that it\’s a clear reminder of the fact that MKE principle that we can have everything we want, but not all at once.
We could have purchased other dressers since January of course when I didn\’t want to bring the old one that we had when we moved, but I feel like we were waiting for this exact moment. Aunt Dorothy had moved in the Spring and couldn\’t take these family heirlooms. Her kids didn\’t want them. She knew we liked old things, and were looking for items for our new home, which is only a few miles from where her mom had these beautiful items since the 1940\’s.
The smell is perfect and it\’s simply a treasure to open those drawers.
It\’s a similar feeling to starting the MKE week 1 again this week, this time as an Intern Guide. AND it\’s Fall Equinox–time to look inward and begin to prepare for colder temps and inside projects. Feeling very thankful.
Many of my DMP dates were tied to on or before 9/28/18 and all have happened. Time for some updates and bigger dreams!
Haanel 1:23–> Our future is entirely within our own control. It is not at the mercy of any capricious or uncertain external power.
Namaste to all and special appreciation to my tribe, all 10 of whom got their first DMPs in. I\’m so thrilled!
I too, have always treasured antique furniture because of the history that comes with the piece. It seems like you have been blessed with something not only useful but historical as well. Likewise, the MKE is very useful to all and historical at the same time. The biblical principles throughout Master Key blesses me and I can see by your post you are receiving that same blessing. Great post!
